Personality Style

The fourth S.U.M.O. principle is ‘Remember The Beachball’ which explores the different factors that influence people’s perspective on life. One of those factors is our personality.

This exercise will provide more insight into our personality type and how it may differ from that of the people we deal with on a regular basis.

There follows a list of characteristics and personality traits that have been divided into four sections. Each section contains a list of 10 traits and characteristics for you to assess. Simply select the number alongside each statement which, in your opinion, most accurately describes you, based upon the following scale:

1 = Never like me
2 = Rarely like me
3 = Occasionally like me
4 = Fairly often like me
5 = Very often like me
6 = Extremely like me

In completing this exercise, you are relying on your own view of yourself. For a more ‘rounded picture’ you may wish to ask a further one or two people you know well, to complete the exercise on your behalf. Remember the exercise is meant purely to provide some ‘food for thought’ as opposed to pigeon-holing people.
